On 17 July, members, parents, volunteers and supporters gathered for our Annual General Meeting and Presentation Evening, always one of the highlights of the Scouting year.
We celebrated the achievements of our young people and reflected on another busy year packed with adventure, learning, friendship and fun. A slideshow and leaders’ reports showcased some of the many activities enjoyed by all sections throughout the year.
It was wonderful to recognise the hard work, commitment and progress of our young people, including those who achieved the highest awards available in their section. Special recognition was also given through our annual Squirrel of the Year, Beaver of the Year, Cub of the Year and Scout of the Year awards.
Following the presentations, everyone enjoyed perfectly cooked hot dogs served by none other than our Group Chair, Olek.
The evening was very well attended by parents and families, and we are grateful for their generous donations of a huge range of raffle prizes. There was plenty of excitement as the winning numbers were called out and prizes claimed, with some particularly lucky winners making multiple trips to collect their rewards!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported the event, donated prizes or bought raffle tickets.
We wish all our members and their families a wonderful summer holiday and look forward to seeing everyone again in the new school year.
